The Soaps

When the decision was made to go into business selling handcrafted bars of soap, work had to be done. There were so many combinations of oils, butters, and additives that it took time and many trial batches of soap before we landed on the recipe that: a. didn’t dry out the skin like the commercial "beauty bars", b. produced a lovely bubbly lather, and c. made a long lasting bar. We have only modified it one time, to remove the sweet almond and avocado oils. These oils were only a small part of the recipe and we wanted to take action after becoming more aware of nut allergies with sweet almond oil and the association between the decline of the monarch butterfly population and avocado production in Mexico.

In addition to a stellar recipe, we strive for beautiful and unique with each batch. Each bar is different and some could be considered statement pieces of art next to your sink. We are always playing with color and fragrance, so there will always be something new coming to the shop!

Our soaps can be used for hand-washing, washing your face, or used in the shower, just make sure a draining soap dish is used to allow the bar to dry out between uses!
